$208.6 million Powerball jackpot hit in Wisconsin

Largest jackpot win in Wisconsin history

(Madison)—One Wisconsin Lottery player is holding the sole winning ticket in the Saturday, August 5 Powerball drawing, a ticket worth $208.6 million. The winning ticket was sold at Ma & Pa Grocery Express, 506 S. Main St. in Fond du Lac.  It’s the largest jackpot ever won in Wisconsin.  The winning numbers were 02, 03, 09, 48, and 50 and the Powerball was 23.

The last Powerball jackpot in Wisconsin was won January 8, 2005 by a Thiensville man.  The previous largest jackpot in Wisconsin was the $195 million Powerball jackpot won by an Illinois couple on May 20, 1998.

The ticket holder has 180 days to claim the $208.6 million prize.  The winning ticket holder is encouraged to call the Wisconsin Lottery office in Madison to make arrangements for claiming the jackpot.

Ma & Pa Grocery Express receives a $100,000 winning ticket commission for selling the winning ticket.  Lottery retailers who sell a winning ticket of $600 or more receive 2% of the prize, up to a maximum of $100,000.
