Mega Millions Game Information

  1. Choose 5 different numbers from 1 through 75 and 1 MEGA BALL number from 1 through 15.The MEGA BALL number may (or may not) repeat a number already picked.
  2. Place wagers by asking for QUICK PICK or by using the Mega Millions playslip. Playslips are available where lotto games are sold.
  3. Choose how many draws to play. Each ticket costs $1 per play per draw. MEGA MILLIONS can be played up to 8 draws (4 weeks) in advance.
  4. Select the MEGAPLIER feature for a chance to multiply winnings. When the MEGAPLIER option is selected, prizes of $1,000,000 or less will be multiplied by a Megaplier of 2X, 3X, 4X or 5X. This option will cost an additional $1 per play per drawing. MEGAPLIER DOES NOT APPLY TO THE JACKPOT.
  5. Check playslip carefully before handing it to the retailer. MEGA MILLIONS TICKETS CANNOT BE CANCELLED.
  6. Give completed playslip and cash to the retailer. Receive, sign and safeguard ticket. A ticket is needed to claim a prize. Playslips are not valid for prize claim.
  7. For each play, all six selected numbers are printed on one line of the ticket with the Mega Ball number printed to the right under the word "MEGA".

Drawings are Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased by 9 p.m. to be included in that day's drawing.

Odds based on 1 play for $1. Prizes = approximately 50% of sales.

* The prize money allocated to the JACKPOT shall be equally divided by the number of plays correctly matching all 6 numbers. A JACKPOT winner has 60 days from date of ticket validation to select either the Annuity payment method of 30 annual installments or the Cash Option payment method. A Cash Option JACKPOT prize will be equal to the total cash held for the JACKPOT prize pool, which will be less than the estimated JACKPOT.

Claim prizes up to $599 at a Lottery retailer. Prizes $600 and higher must be claimed at a Lottery office or by mail. Tickets, transactions and winners subject to state law and Lottery regulations. Tickets void if stolen, mutilated, altered, unreadable, counterfeit, misregistered, defective or fail to pass the Lottery’s confidential validation tests. Purchasers must be at least 18 years old. Prizes not claimed within 180 days after drawing are forfeited. JACKPOTS not won will be carried forward to the next drawing.
