MADISON, Wis. – A military veteran who spent eight years playing the Lottery with numbers chosen for his and his wife’s birthdays, claimed a $50,000 Powerball prize Thursday in Madison. The retired man from Viola (Richland/Vernon Counties), population 707, matched four-of-five numbers plus the Powerball in the Feb. 9 drawing.

MADISON, Wis. – A Sauk County man who won the Feb. 27 Badger 5 jackpot claimed his prize Wednesday in Madison. James Kummer of Reedsburg won $61,000 by matching all five numbers in last month’s drawing.
