FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Winning $100,000 Powerball Ticket Sold in Greenfield

Powerball Win in Greenfield

MADISON, Wis. -- The weather may be starting to cool down, but recently October has been a hot month for Wisconsin Powerball players. A winning $100,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Metro Market on 4279 S. 76th St. in Greenfield for the Wednesday, October 23 drawing. It is the third time in just over three weeks a winning Powerball ticket of $50,000 or more has been sold in Wisconsin.

The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (2-15-27-29-39) and the Powerball (20). The winning play also had the $1 Power Play turning the $50,000 win into a $100,000 because of the 2X multiplier.

The Power Play feature gives players the chance to multiply non jackpot prizes by up to five times their original value. Thus far in 2024, 13 winning Wisconsin Powerball tickets of $50,000 or more included the Power Play.

Metro Market is no stranger to big Lottery wins. The Wisconsin retailer has sold four Badger 5 jackpot winning tickets and two winning scratch tickets of $200,000 and $25,000.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is on wilottery.com. Players can also check to see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in the drawing.

The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130. For the $1 Power Play add-on option, the odds of a 2X multiplier being drawn on Wednesday night were 1:1.75.
