A chance to win a VIP trip to celebrate New Year's Eve in Times Square in New York City, along with a chance to win an $1 Million!

Powerball tickets purchased in Wisconsin between March 20, 2022, and April 2, 2022, may count towards entry into the Wisconsin Lottery’s Powerball VIP Trip Drawing. In this drawing, there will be one (1) winner of a trip to New York City (NYC) this New Year’s Eve to attend an exclusive Powerball party in Times Square. The trip prize winner will also be eligible for a chance to win an additional $1 Million! See inside for more details.

 

How to Qualify and Enter the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing:

Note: Every Wisconsin Lottery Powerball ticket (with or without Power Play®) purchased between March 20, 2022, and April 2, 2022, will have details regarding entry into the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing printed directly on the ticket.

  • (1) Collect any one (1) non-winning Wisconsin Lottery Powerball ticket purchased between March 20, 2022, and April 2, 2022.
  • (2) On the ticket back, place full name, address, phone number, and signature. Each entry must clearly state one person’s name and address.
  • (3) Place the ticket in an envelope no larger than 4 ½” x 9 ½”, affix sufficient postage, and mail to:

(Players may enter as often as they wish, but each envelope must be mailed separately.)

Entries must be received through the U.S. Mail by Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Trip winner for the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing will be announced Monday, April 25, 2022.

Only persons 18 years of age or older are eligible to be awarded the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing prize. Guest of the winner must be 18 years of age or older, or at least the age of majority in the guest’s state of residence, whichever is older.

 

Powerball VIP Trip Drawing Prize:

There will be one (1) winner of a VIP trip-for-2 to NYC from approximately December 29, 2022, to January 1, 2023. Odds of winning the trip prize depends on number of entries received.

The trip prize includes:

  • Round-trip, airline transportation for two (2) people from major airport nearest winner’s city to New York, N.Y.
  • Three (3) night hotel accommodation at a Times Square hotel in NYC (double occupancy, room and tax only)
  • Two (2) tickets to a welcome dinner
  • Two (2) tickets for an exclusive NYE dinner 
  • Two (2) tickets for an exclusive entertainment experience
  • Two (2) gift bags
  • Designated meals
  • $1,000 spending money
  • Event-related ground transportation to and from airports, hotel, and activities in NYC
  • Required federal and state withholding taxes (for trip prize only)
  • A chance to win $1 Million

Total estimated value of the trip prize, excluding any potential prize won during the trip, is $29,260.

One winner from each participating lottery* will be entered into a series of drawings. The final entry drawn from the series of drawings will win $1 Million to be announced during the broadcast of Dick Clark's New Year’s Rockin’ Eve® event! Odds of winning the $1 Million prize are 1 in 48 or better based on the number of other lotteries participating.

*The multi-jurisdictional drawing(s) for $1 Million will include other lotteries participating in the 2022 Powerball First Millionaire of the Year Offer throughout the country.

The prize money allocated to the JACKPOT shall be equally divided by the number of plays correctly matching all 6 numbers. JACKPOTS not won will be carried forward to the next drawing. Prize payments are subject to the provisions of Sec.565.30, Wis. Stats. and the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing Features and Procedures.

Trip prize and winner is subject to the standard terms, conditions, and requirements of MRC Live & Alternative, LLC (MRC), and its partners. Trip prize and winner is subject to the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing features and procedures, and the standard terms, conditions, and requirements of MRC Live & Alternative, LLC (MRC), and its partners.

The Wisconsin Lottery’s Powerball VIP Trip Drawing for the one (1) trip prize is a separate drawing from any preliminary or fi nal MILLION DOLLAR multi-jurisdictional drawing. The trip prize is separate from the $1 Million prize. Required federal and state withholding taxes are NOT included in the $1 Million prize.

Purchasing Power Play will not affect odds of ticket winning a drawing prize and will not change any aspect of the trip prize, if won. Powerball tickets purchased in other states are not eligible for the Wisconsin Lottery’s drawing. Powerball tickets purchased in Wisconsin before March 20, 2022, or after April 2, 2022, are not eligible for the Wisconsin Lottery’s Powerball VIP Trip Drawing.

Entry envelopes must be received by the Lottery through the U.S. Mail; they CANNOT be submitted by personal delivery to a Wisconsin Lottery office or retailer. All tickets sent to the Wisconsin Lottery to enter the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing become property of the Wisconsin Lottery and will not be returned. The Wisconsin Lottery will not be responsible for neglect, failure, or omission on the part of the U.S. Postal Service or any other delivery or courier service used to deliver a player’s entry to the Powerball VIP Trip Drawing.

Players may enter as often as they like. The Powerball VIP Trip Drawing Prize will only be awarded to an individual person. An entry must clearly state only one person’s name and address.

The trip prize winner will be notified of their prize at the address they used in the winning entry. The winner must claim their prize within 60 days of the date on the Lottery’s notification letter or the prize is forfeited. Cash will not be paid in lieu of any trip prize or any portion of said prize. However, the Wisconsin Lottery reserves the right to substitute the trip prize or any other portion of the prize for other items of equal or greater value. The trip prize is nontransferable without the express written consent of the Wisconsin Lottery.

Only persons 18 years of age or older are eligible for the trip prize. Guests of the winner must be 18 years of age or older, or at least the age of majority in the guest’s state of residence, whichever is older. Winner and their guest must travel on the same itinerary. The trip prize must be taken during the specified dates. A valid credit card shall be required for incidentals to check into the hotel. The trip prize does not include mileage, insurance, gratuities, additional meals, parking fees, departure fees, baggage fees, personal expenses (such as telephone calls, valet service, laundry and the like), revision or cancellation fees which may be charged by the hotel or other suppliers, or any items not expressly specified herein.

For the trip prize, the Wisconsin Lottery will hold and deposit required state and federal taxes in accordance with State of Wisconsin and IRS tax rules. However, a winner is still responsible for any additional taxes or fees that may result from having claimed the prize. State and federal withholding taxes are subject to tax law changes.

The Powerball VIP Trip Drawing is separate from the Wisconsin Lottery Super 2nd Chance Drawing.
