Raising awareness about problem gambling and encouraging responsible play is part of the fabric of the Wisconsin Lottery. This March, the Lottery joins the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling (WCPG) to support Problem Gambling Awareness Month.

February has been a good month for Badger 5 players. A $331,000 Badger 5 jackpot was hit for the Monday, January 23, 2023, drawing with two winning tickets sold at Go2Stop Inc, 3401 Milwaukee St. in Madison and Hansen's IGA, 419 N. Main St., in Westby. The winning numbers are 3-5-10-13-24. Each winning ticket is worth $165,500.

A Badger 5 jackpot-winning lotto ticket worth $125,000 will go unclaimed if the winner does not come forward by the January 19, 2023, expiration date. The winning ticket from the Saturday, July 23, 2022, drawing was purchased at Olsen's Piggly Wiggly, 6111 W. Mequon Rd. in Mequon. The winning numbers were 2-11-15-16-26.

While many consider Friday the 13th an unlucky day, it has been rewarding for some Mega Millions players over the years, with six previous jackpots won on such a day. There's a chance for another this Friday, January 13, with an estimated jackpot of $1.35 billion ($707.9 million cash).
