FEATURES AND PROCEDURES
MONOPOLY
(Instant Scratch Game # 2335)
MONOPOLY
(Instant Scratch Game # 2335)
- The theme and name of the game: MONOPOLY. Scratch ROLL 1 to reveal the total of your first roll. Starting on “GO”, move forward the same number of spaces as shown in ROLL 1 and scratch ONLY the space you land on. (Move clockwise around the board, counting “MEDITERRANEAN AVENUE” as the first space; e.g. If ROLL 1 is a 5, then move five spaces and scratch only “READING RAILROAD.”) Scratch ROLL 2 to reveal the total of your second roll. Starting on the scratched space you landed on after ROLL 1, move forward the number of spaces as shown in ROLL 2 and scratch the space you land on. (e.g. If you landed on “READING RAILROAD” after ROLL 1, and ROLL 2 is a 7, then move seven spaces and scratch only “ELECTRIC COMPANY.”) Follow this procedure for the remaining ROLLs, making sure each time to start on the space you landed on in the previous ROLL. If you landed on all the required spaces shown in the
PRIZE LEGEND for a particular prize, win that prize amount. (e.g. If you landed on both “BALTIC AVENUE” and “MEDITERRANEAN AVENUE,” you win $4. If you landed on “FREE PARKING,” you win $50.) Please note: A $200 prize is won only by landing on “GO” and not simply for passing “GO.” A $3 prize is won for each Railroad you land on. - The price of tickets: Three dollars ($3.00), or as otherwise set by the Administrator.
- The prize structure including the number and value of prizes and the odds on each prize are as follows:
PRIZE AMOUNT APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF PRIZES ODDS OF WINNING $3 121,600 1:8 $4 67,200 1:15 $6 41,600 1:24 $9 19,200 1:50 $10 9,600 1:100 $12 9,600 1:100 $15 9,600 1:100 $25 9,600 1:100 $50 1,556 1:617 $200 48 1:20,000 $500 6 1:160,000 $1,000 3 1:320,000 $5,000 2 1:480,000 $30,000 2 1:480,000 Odds and prize statements are based on initial game prize structure and may vary over the life of the game. Entry or non-entry of MONOPOLY tickets to the Lottery Super 2nd Chance drawings does not affect the prize structure of the MONOPOLY game.
- The frequency of drawings: There are no drawings in the MONOPOLY game, however, for a period of time, at the discretion of the Lottery Division Administrator MONOPOLY tickets may count towards entry in Lottery Super 2nd Chance drawings. The Wisconsin Lottery will not be responsible for any neglect, failure or omission on the part of the U.S. Postal Service or any other delivery/courier service used to deliver a player's Super 2nd Chance Drawing mailing to the Wisconsin Lottery. The Lottery assumes no responsibility or liability for Super 2nd Chance tickets that are lost, or destroyed or otherwise disqualified from participation in a drawing when such tickets are in the
control of the Lottery. All tickets sent to the Wisconsin Lottery to enter the Super 2nd Chance drawings become property of the Wisconsin Lottery and will not be returned. Only tickets sent to and received at the correct address for entry into the Super 2nd Chance drawing will be eligible for the Super 2nd Chance drawing. - The method of selecting winners: Each MONOPOLY ticket contains a YOUR ROLLS play area containing 10 (ten) separate ROLL totals labeled 1 through 10, a MONOPOLY board play area containing 40 (forty) separate and individually labeled spaces, and a PRIZE LEGEND showing separate combinations of MONOPOLY spaces and their corresponding prize amounts.
Each ROLL total in the YOUR ROLLS play area must be played in successive order starting with ROLL 1. Starting on the “GO” space of the MONOPOLY board play area and moving clockwise around the board, the player of the ticket counts the same number of spaces as shown in the uncovered ROLL 1 play spot. (“MEDITERRANEAN AVENUE” is counted as the first space, the following “COMMUNITY CHEST” space as the second, and so on.) The last space counted (or “landed on,” as referenced in the ticket play instructions) is the starting point for ROLL 2. Starting on that space and moving clockwise around the board, the player of the ticket counts the same number of spaces as shown in the uncovered ROLL 2 play spot. The last space counted is the starting point for ROLL 3. Starting on that space and moving clockwise around the board, the player of the ticket counts the same number of spaces as shown in the uncovered ROLL 3 play spot. This process is repeated for ROLLs 4 through 10, noting that after each successive ROLL the player must start on the space “landed on” after the previous ROLL.
The holder of a ticket where one (1) or more of the spaces "landed on" in the MONOPOLY board play area (as previously described in these features and procedures) completely match one (1) of the combinations of MONOPOLY spaces shown in the PRIZE LEGEND shall win the corresponding prize shown in the PRIZE LEGEND for those same spaces. Each individual space corresponding to a prize in the
PRIZE LEGEND must be "landed on" in order to count as a match (e.g. A player must "land on" both BALTIC AVENUE and MEDITERRANEAN AVENUE (in separate ROLLS) in order to win the $4 prize) with the exception of Railroads, as previously described in these features and Procedures. A three dollar ($3) prize is won for each Railroad space "landed on", as previously described in these features and procedures.
For the purposes of the counting spaces, the "JUST VISITING/JAIL" space is considered to be one (1) space. - The method of making payments to winners:
- Submission of the original ticket (not a copy), as provided below, shall be the sole method of claiming a prize.
- Payment of prizes under six hundred dollars ($600) may be made by presenting the ticket for validation and payment to any Wisconsin Lottery retailer by the claim deadline under 6(G).

- Tickets are void if stolen, unissued, mutilated, altered, counterfeit, or otherwise fail validation tests. The Lottery at its sole discretion reserves the right to pay any mutilated ticket based upon the facts and circumstances of the particular claim. Such action by the Lottery is final and non-reviewable.
- Tickets are void if misprinted. "Misprinted" means any mistake or difference from the original ticket or game specifications of any kind in the printing, manufacturing, packaging or other processing related to the production or distribution of the ticket caused by the raw materials, processes or handling of the ticket until its ultimate sale to the consumer/player. "Misprinted" includes but is not limited to the tickets being unreadable, misregistered, defective, or multiply printed. Also, "misprinted" includes errors in the computer software, computer hardware, code or programming of the game regardless of whether the errors were imbedded or caused by human action relating to any of the matters mentioned in this paragraph. The Lottery at its sole discretion reserves the right to pay any such "misprinted" ticket based upon the facts and circumstances of the particular claim. Such action by the Lottery is final and non-reviewable.
- All tickets sent to the Wisconsin Lottery for the purpose of redemption become property of the Lottery and will not be returned. All tickets winning $600 or more that are submitted in person to a Lottery office for the purpose of redemption will not be returned after the signed ticket is received by the Lottery. Signed, unpaid tickets winning $599 or less that are submitted in person to a Lottery office may be returned at the sole discretion of the Lottery. No winning ticket will be returned once the prize for that ticket has been paid by a Lottery office, regardless of the winning amount. Non-winning tickets that are submitted in person to a Lottery office may be returned at the sole discretion of the Lottery.
- The holder of a winning MONOPOLY ticket must claim the prize, in accordance with sections 6(B) or 6(C), within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after game's end date or the prize shall be forfeited. If claiming a prize in person at a Lottery Validations Office, the original winning ticket and Lottery claim form must be received by the Lottery within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after game's end date. In the event that the Governor declares a state-wide emergency or similar unforeseen circumstance occurs, the one hundred eighty (180) day deadline may be extended at the sole discretion of the Wisconsin Lottery Division Administrator.
- Pursuant to Wisconsin's Open Records law (sec. 19.31-19.39 Wis. Stats.), the Lottery is required to disclose a winner's name, place of residence and, if acquired, likeness. If a player wins and claims a prize, the Lottery may use his or her name, likeness and place of residence without compensation for any purpose. Upon claiming a prize, a winner waives any claims against the Lottery and its representatives for any and all liability which may result from the disclosure or use of such information.
- Prize payments are subject to the provisions of sec. 565.30 Wis. Stats.
