$100,000 win in Chippewa Falls

Madison, Wis. -- The holiday season started this weekend at Lake Wissota Travel Shop on 17255 Cty Hwy X in Chippewa Falls. The Wisconsin retailer sold a winning $100,000 Powerball ticket for the Saturday, December 2 drawing. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (28-35-41-47-60) plus the Powerball (3). The ticket included the $1 Power Play option turning a $50,000 win into a $100,000 win because of the 2X Power Play multiplier.

"This is a nice holiday present for the store and whoever won it," said Lake Wissota Travel Shop Manager, Dora Helland. "We're so excited. Powerball is a popular ticket with our customers, and many buy the Power Play option."

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com/winners/claim-prize. Players can also check their tickets by using the Lottery's mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in a drawing. The next Powerball drawing is tonight where the estimated jackpot is $412 million.

For the $1 Powerball Play add-on option, the odds of a 2X multiplier being drawn on Saturday night were 1:1.75. Power Play does not apply to the jackpot.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338.
