Fast Play, Badger 5, Powerball wins

Madison, Wis. -- For a few Wisconsin Lottery players, the more the merrier was the theme of the holiday weekend.

Winning Fast Play and Badger 5 jackpots, plus two winning $50,000 Powerball tickets, were sold at retailers across Wisconsin on Saturday and Monday.

The excitement started on Saturday when a player won $129,323, or 50% of the Fast Play Progressive Jackpot, instantly after purchasing a 20X Fast Play ticket from Hawley Food Mart on 683 S. Hawley Rd. in Milwaukee. About two hundred miles north, a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Krist Food Mart on 4428 N. Branch St. in Wabeno for the December 23 drawing. The winning numbers were 9-14-17-18-53 with a Powerball of 6.

Big wins are nothing new to Hawley Food Mart in 2023. In August, the Lottery retailer sold a winning $39,384 Fast Play Progressive Jackpot ticket and a $100,000 winning lotto ticket.

Krist Food Mart also knows something about big winners. In June, the store sold a winning $75,000 scratch ticket.

More large presents came on Monday for a couple of Wisconsin Lottery players. A winning $73,000 Badger 5 jackpot ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 1601 Landmark Dr. in Cottage Grove and a $50,000 Powerball winner was purchased at Kwik Trip on 4924 Sprint St. in Mount Pleasant for the December 25 drawings. The winning Badger 5 numbers were 2-10-15-17-26, while the winning Powerball numbers were 5-12-20-24-29 with a Powerball of 4.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com/winners/claim-prize.

Players can check to see if their ticket is a winner by going to wilottery.com or using the Lottery's mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in a drawing. The Badger 5 lotto game is drawn daily after 9 p.m. The odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot are 1:169,911. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day's drawing.

The odds of winning the Fast Play Progressive Jackpot are 1:240.000. Printed on each Fast Play ticket is the amount of the estimated jackpot when the ticket is sold and how much of that estimated jackpot the ticket could win.
