FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jilly's Car Wash in Elm Grove Sells $50,000 Powerball Ticket

Elm Grove has a Powerball winner

Madison, Wis. -- A $50,000 Powerball winning ticket was sold in Elm Grove for the Wednesday, December 6, 2023, drawing. The lucky ticket, which matched four of five winning numbers (2-12-37-56-65) plus the Powerball (21), was purchased at Jilly's Car Wash on 15340 Elm Grove. According to Jilly's Car Wash Area Manager, Morgan Crable, it is the largest winning ticket the Wisconsin Lottery retailer has ever sold.

Earlier this year, a player from Jilly's won $6,200 playing a different lotto game. That win was the retailer's largest ever until Wednesday's Powerball win.

"The $6,200 was our largest until this week," said Crable. "We've been pretty busy lately. This win will encourage people to come back. Powerball is one of our more popular games. We have a pretty loyal base of customers here in Elm Grove."

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com/winners/claim-prize. Players can also check their tickets using the Wisconsin Lottery mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

The Powerball jackpot is growing rapidly. The estimated jackpot for Saturday, December 9 drawing is $468 million!

The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130, and the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional dollar.
