BAD 5

MADISON, Wis. -- A $202,998 Badger 5 jackpot was hit for the Sunday, September 8, 2024, drawing with three winning tickets sold at BP on 5606 S. Packard Ave. in Cudahy, Kwik Trip on 1499 Appleton Rd. in Menasha, and at Express Market by Festival Foods on 6205 Business 51 S in Schofield. The winning numbers were 19-22-26-29-30.

"We're a lucky store," said Shazad Ahmad, owner of the BP. "Last year we sold a Badger 5 jackpot winner and a $50,000 Powerball winner. Hopefully, the next big win at the store will be a Mega Millions jackpot."

In December of 2023, Ahmad's store sold a $207,999 Badger 5 jackpot winning ticket and in August of 2023, the store sold a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket.

"As a neighborhood store, we know our customers well. Hopefully, this new winner is one of our regulars," added Ahmad.

The $202,998 jackpot is the largest Badger 5 jackpot won in 2024 so far.

Both Express Market by Festival Foods and Kwik Trip are no strangers to large lottery wins either. Last year, Express Market by Festival Foods sold a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket and the Menasha Kwik Trip has sold three winning $10,000 scratch tickets in its lottery history.

A Wisconsin-only lotto game, Badger 5 is in the midst of a limited time offer where players who purchase a $5 of greater Badger 5 ticket will receive a "Bonus Ticket" for the next Badger 5 drawing. The limited time offer is available until the end of September.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Sunday's Badger 5 winners have 180 days to claim their prizes from the official draw date. Tickets can be claimed at the Lottery offices in either Madison or Milwaukee. Players can also check to see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

The Badger 5 lotto game is drawn daily after 9 p.m. The odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot are 1:169,911. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day's drawing.

The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1:302,575,350.
