MADISON, Wis. -- Wednesday was a superior day for one lucky Lottery player. A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at the Korner Store, located at 3802 E. 2nd St. in Superior for the June 3, 2026, drawing. The winning ticket matched four of the five balls (14-16-38-55-64) and the Powerball (12).
"This is so exciting," said Korner Store manager, Dominic Pozzani. "Powerball is one of our most popular games. It will be interesting to learn who won. I know all of our staff were pretty excited to find out this morning."
A Lottery retailer since 2021, the $50,000 winner is the largest winning ticket ever sold by Korner Store.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two-percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.
According to powerball.com, just seven tickets across the country won $50,000 for the June 3 drawing. The next Powerball drawing is this Saturday where the estimated jackpot is $212 million.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.
The odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130 while the odds to win the jackpot are 1:292,201,338.
