FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
$1,000,000 Mega Millions Winning Ticket Sold in Milwaukee
Current jackpot rolls to $579 million

$1M win in Milwaukee

MADISON, Wis. -- The city of Milwaukee got some big news last night. A winning $1,000,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold at El Rey Food Mart on 1320 W. Burnham for the Tuesday, December 3 drawing. The winning ticket matched five of five numbers (52-60-61-66-67) but not the Mega Ball (23). In the United States, only three Mega Millions tickets matched five numbers for the Tuesday drawing. Two in Ohio and one in Wisconsin.

Since the current Mega Millions jackpot run started on September 13, there have been 38 winning tickets sold of at least $1 million or more.

The estimated Mega Millions jackpot for the Friday, December 6 drawing is $579 million making it the tenth largest jackpot in Mega Millions history. In 2024, the Mega Millions jackpot has been won three times, most recently in Texas where an $810 million winning ticket was sold.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players should always check their tickets after each drawing. All Wisconsin Lotto games have multiple prizes available. Drawing results are posted on wilottery.com and on the Wisconsin Lottery mobile app. In addition, the Wisconsin Lottery Players Club email reports drawing results every morning. Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings.

The odds of winning a $1,000,000 Mega Millions prize are 1:12,607,307. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1:302,575,350.
