FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
$4 Million Mega Millions Ticket Purchased in Menomonee Falls
4x Multiplier turns $1 million into $4 million prize

$4M

MADISON, Wis. -- How does multiplying your Lottery winnings by four sound? It happened in Menomonee Falls last Friday.

A winning $1,000,000 Mega Millions ticket – which featured a 4x Multiplier that bumped the total prize to $4,000,000 -- was sold at the Kwik Trip on N88 W15476 Main St. in Menomonee Falls for the Friday, October 2, 2026, drawing. It is the largest prize won by a Wisconsin Lottery player in 2026.

The winning ticket matched five of five numbers (6-37-40-41-55), but not the Mega Ball.

Following the April 2025 enhancements of Mega Millions, players across the country have benefited. Mega Millions features a built-in Multiplier that comes with every Mega Millions play and improves all winning non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x.

Mega Millions is the only game in the United States that offers a second-tier prize greater than $2 million and as high as $10 million!

The Menomonee Falls Kwik Trip has a great history of selling big Lotto game winning tickets. In fact, prior to Friday's Mega Millions win, the store had sold seven winning Lotto tickets ranging from $10,000 to $350,000 in the last eight years.

The estimated Mega Millions jackpot for tonight's drawing is $345 million.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also check their tickets using the Wisconsin Lottery mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play.

The odds of winning a $1,000,000 Mega Millions base prize (before multiplying) are 1:12,629,232. The odds of a Mega Millions play receiving a 4x Multiplier at the time of purchase are 1:8.
