MADISON, Wisc. -- Saturday was an awesome night in Appleton. A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at True North Energy on 120 S. McCarthy Rd., for the April 19, 2025, drawing. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (7-25-37-39-63), plus the Powerball (1).
Powerball.com reported 11 winning tickets of $50,000 or more throughout in the United States, for the Saturday drawing. The estimated jackpot for tonight's Powerball drawing is $139 million.
In Wisconsin in 2025, there have been seven winning Powerball tickets of $50,000 or more drawn including two this month.
After learning about the win, True North Energy Manager, Melody Stoltz said, "What a great day. This is fantastic. It wasn’t that long ago we sold a winning $100,000 scratch ticket. I hope this win is a local winner."
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.\
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338 while the odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130.
