MADISON, Wis. -- For Lottery players who purchased Powerball or Badger 5 tickets for the Wednesday, May 28, 2025, drawings, check your tickets because you may be a big winner.
A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 1415 West St. in Wausau and a winning $125,000 Badger 5 jackpot ticket was sold at Gas and Go on 820 Commerce Ave. in Kohler.
The winning Powerball ticket matched four of five numbers (23-27-32-35-59), plus the Powerball (11).
The winning numbers for the Badger 5 ticket were (14-19-24-26-31).
Karla, manager at the Gas and Go said, "This is our biggest win under the new ownership. It was an exciting morning. My boss texted me about it as soon as he found out."
In May, five Badger 5 jackpots have been won and since the start of 2025, there have been 33 winning Badger 5 jackpot tickets drawn, with 10 jackpots exceeding $100,000.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.
Badger 5 is a Wisconsin-only Lotto game, drawn daily after 9 p.m. The odds of winning the Badger 5 jackpot are 1:169,911. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day's drawing.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.
The estimated jackpot for the Saturday Powerball drawing is $207 million.
The odds to win the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338 while the odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130.
