FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Late Brother's Birthday Helps Illinois Man Win $350,000

350K Winner

MADISON, Wis. -- Richard Schultz had a good feeling about the SuperCash! February 22, 2025, drawing. Last week, Schultz purchased seven SuperCash! plays in advance leading up to the Saturday drawing. He made a point of including February 22, because it is his late brother Peter's birthday. Schultz's sibling tribute led to a $350,000 winning SuperCash! ticket, which he claimed this week at the Madison Lottery office.

"SuperCash! is my favorite game and playing the February 22 date felt right. I just had a feeling it was going to be a lucky day."

Schultz's ticket matched six of six numbers to win the top prize. It was the third $350,000 winning SuperCash! ticket sold in February.

A graphic designer and photographer for the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois, Schultz purchased his winning ticket from Genoa City BP Operating Corp. on 100 Elizabeth Ln. in Genoa City.

The Illinois resident said he frequently comes to Wisconsin to purchase gas. "The Genoa City BP is my go-to spot for gas and Lottery tickets. The employees are super friendly. They are the reason I go there."

Before Schultz's big win, the largest winning Lottery ticket Genoa City BP Operating Corp. had ever sold was a $24,999 Badger 5 jackpot.

"I’m really happy for the store. They deserve this win too."

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

SuperCash! has daily drawings seven days a week. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in that day's drawing. The game offers two plays for $1 and has a Doubler feature at no cost.

The odds of winning the $350,000 SuperCash! top prize are 1:1,631,312.

The odds of winning a Badger 5 jackpot are 1:169,911.
