Powerball Jackpot Soars to $1.3 Billion
Holiday weekend produces 10 big winners in Baraboo, Green Bay, Milwaukee, New Berlin, Superior, Prescott, Peshtigo, Fitchburg, Wausau, and Paddock Lake

MADISON, Wis. -- While the Powerball jackpot continues to grow at a record-breaking pace (currently at an estimated $1.3 billion – the fifth largest prize in the game's history), Wisconsin's holiday weekend was full of big Powerball winners.

For the Saturday, August 30, 2025, Powerball drawing, two winning $50,000 tickets and one winning $150,000 ticket (thanks to the 3X Power Play multiplier) were sold at:

The winning tickets from Saturday's draw matched four of five numbers (3-18-22-27-33) and the Powerball (17).

For the Monday, September 1 Powerball drawing, six winning $50,000 tickets and one winning $150,000 ticket (again, thanks to the 3X Power Play multiplier) were sold at:

The winning tickets from Monday's draw also matched four of five numbers (8-23-25-40-53) and the Powerball (5).

Prior to this weekend, there have been 18 Wisconsin Powerball tickets that matched four of five numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000 or more in 2025. During the Labor Day weekend, there were 10 Wisconsin winning tickets of $50,000 of more, increasing the 2025 total to 28.

Four Powerball jackpots have been won, so far, this year:

Mar 29, 2025 - $526.5 million – California 
Apr 26, 2025 - $167.3 million – Kentucky 
May 31, 2025 - $204.5 million – California

Wednesday’s Powerball drawing will be the 41st drawing since the jackpot was last won in California on May 31, 2025. To date, the longest Powerball jackpot run has been 42 consecutive drawings, which was set on April 6, 2024, with a $1.326 billion jackpot winner in Oregon.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two-percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000. 

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com

Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play. Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. 

Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1. 

The odds to win the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338 while the odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130. With the $1 Power Play add-on option, the odds of a 3X multiplier being drawn on Saturday or Monday night were 1:3.3.
