Powerball win in Menasha

MADISON, Wis. -- A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 901 Racine Rd. in Menasha for the Wednesday, December 18 drawing. The ticket matched four of five numbers (6-15-18-33-49) and the Powerball (7).

The next Powerball drawing will be on Saturday, December 21 where the estimated jackpot is $88 million.

This isn't the first big winner sold by the Menasha Kwik Trip. Earlier this year, a customer instantly won $20,000 after purchasing a $1 Fast Play Progressive Bingo ticket. The Fast Play product line features eight different games that all feed into one Progressive Jackpot. As of 2 p.m. today, the Progressive Jackpot had reached a record high $462,010. The amount of the Jackpot won depends on the price of the ticket. $1 tickets win 10% of the jackpot, $2 tickets win 20%, $5 tickets win 50%, and $10 tickets win 100%.

Wisconsin retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailers Program Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Powerball players in Wisconsin have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also check their tickets using the Wisconsin Lottery mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1.

The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130. The odds of winning a Fast Play Progressive Jackpot are 1:240,000.
