Winning $50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold in Wales
Estimated jackpot for next Powerball drawing is $1 billion

MADISON, Wis. -- The weather may be getting colder, but December is becoming a hot month for Wisconsin Powerball players. A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 415 N. Wales Rd. in Wales for the Wednesday, December 10, 2025, drawing. It was the second time in four days a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold in the Badger State. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (10-16-29-33-69) and the Powerball (22).

Powerball is on track to deliver the ultimate holiday cheer, with estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing climbing to an estimated $1 billion – the 7th largest jackpot in the game's history. It is the second Powerball jackpot to reach $1 billion this year, following the $1.787 billion jackpot won on Sept. 6 in Missouri and Texas.

Saturday’s drawing will be the 42nd drawing in the jackpot run. This streak ties the game record for most consecutive drawings in a single jackpot cycle. The only other jackpot run to reach 42 drawings was the $1.787 billion jackpot won on Sept. 6.

Five Powerball jackpots have been won in 2025 including: 

• Jan 18, 2025 - $328.5 million – Oregon 
• Mar 29, 2025 - $526.5 million – California 
• Apr 26, 2025 - $167.3 million – Kentucky 
• May 31, 2025 - $204.5 million – California 
• Sept. 6, 2025 - $1.787 billion – Missouri, Texas

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two-percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available at the App Store or Google Play.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play. 

The odds to win the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338 and the odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130.
