MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin-only Lotto game Badger 5 has a limited time offer that starts today and runs through September 30. Players who purchase the Badger 5 game this month may find their plays have been struck by lightning! For the next 30 days, one in three Badger 5 plays statewide will receive an extra number printed on the Badger 5 ticket. That number is called the "Lightning Ball," and when it strikes, it can be used to match the winning numbers. 

Players can win a prize by matching at least two of their numbers to the numbers drawn, or by matching just one of their numbers and the Lightning Ball. 

Example: If a player matches three of the five numbers drawn, they win $2. But if a Lightning Ball appears and it also matches one of the numbers drawn, the player now matches four of five numbers and wins $50 instead!

The Lightning Ball cannot be used to win the Badger 5 jackpot. However, players have the chance to win $500 by matching four of five numbers and the Lightning Ball as part of the Badger 5 with Lightning Ball offer.
